Sandra Miles, Executive Director

Sandra Miles is a past Assistant Director (2000-2001) and Director (2001-2003) of the Black Female Development Circle, Inc. (UCF Chapter). She is a very proud alumni of the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelors degree in Political Science (Honors in the Major) with minors in African American Studies, Women's Studies and French, and her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. Currently, Sandra is the Assistant Director for Student Affairs /SGA Advisor at Florida State University where she is pursuing a PhD in Higher Education.

 

Shalanda O'neal, Director of Records

A native of Belle Glade, Florida, Shalanda Leigh O’neal is a graduate of Florida State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Management. Ms. O’neal first became involved with the Black Female Development Circle, Incorporated in January 2008 when she became a member of the Florida State University collegiate chapter. She served her chapter as secretary for the 2008-2009 academic year. She credits BDFC, Inc. in helping her learn that establishing healthy relationships with like-minded women is possible despite the naysayers.  BFDC, Inc. has also given Shalanda the strength to love herself and embrace the woman God created her to be. Ms. O’neal is working towards being the CEO of her own special events coordinating company. Her hobbies include fashion, cosmetics, reading and of course BFDC, Inc.!


Norshawna Green, Director of Membership and Standards

Born and raised in Lake Wales, Florida, Norshawna R. Green is a graduate of FSU with a Bachelors of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Services with a concentration in substance abuse. She has been a member of the Black Female Development Circle, Inc. (FSU Chapter) since 2006. She has served as the member (06-07), assistant director (07), and director (08-09) within this chapter. Since beginning with BFDC in 2006,  Norshawna has seen growth in women all over the world due to the involvement of the women in BFDC, who seek to empower, encourage, and equip women with the vital knowledge and faith to prosper. Currently, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a occupational therapist at Florida A&M University and starting J.US.T.U.S (Journey to Support, Uplift, & Teach Us Sisters) Mentoring Organization  geared toward middle and high school students.

 

Telishia Terry, Director of Alumni and At-Large Affairs

Telishia D. Terry received her B.S. in Sociology in 2002 from the University of Central Florida. Currently, she is a history teacher at University High School on the 9th grade campus. While attending UCF, she had the honor of serving as the Director of BFDC for the 2000-2001 year. Since this time BFDC has continued to flourish on that campus. Telishia strongly believes that leaders can only be as strong as the members. With this in mind she focuses on innovative ways to attain and keep alumni members excited and engaged in BFDC. The national board would like to keep its members excited about BFDC even after graduation and Telishia is happy to lead that effort believing that every woman needs the support system that BFDC offers.

 

Kimberly R. Hill, Director of Special Projects

Kimberly R. Hill is a graduate of the University of Central Florida , where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management.  In 2002, she became a member of BFDC, Inc., UCF Chapter.  Currently, she resides in Charlotte , North Carolina , and is employed by Livingstone College in Salisbury , North Carolina .  She is an Admissions Recruiter and Event Sales Manager for the new Learning Center for Hospitality Management.  She is also the Dance Director and Coach for the Livingstone College "Honey Bears" Band Dance Team.  Kimberly is presently working on establishing a BFDC, Inc. chapter on the Livingstone College Campus.

 

Shirelle Wright, Collegiate Representative

Shirelle joined BFDC in the Fall of 2005. She is currently an active member of the UCF Chapter where she previously served as Director, Assistant Director, and Membership Chair. Additionally, Shirelle is a Senior majoring in Health Services Administration, with a minor in Health Science. She is active in the African American Student Union, Health Services Administration Student Association and Faces Modeling Troupe.   

        

Tai Knight, Collegiate Representative

Tai joined BFDC in the Fall of 2007. She is currently an active member of the UCF Chapter where she previously served as Book Club Chair and Decorations Chair for Tribute to a Black Man. Most recently Tai was named National Collegiate Member of the Year at the 2009 BFDC, Inc. National Conference.  Additionally, Tai is a Sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice. She is active on campus with Dispute Resolution Services as mediator.
